Mission Marketing Global came into being in 1999 when Pierre Newell started working his Excel Telecom Business. He had been working for 30+ Years in Sales and Marketing and he was ready for one last big move, from Corporate America to being his own boss. Although that decision was a risky one, he has never looked back since. Pierre says: "I am happy to report that working from home is "Bliss".

Excited and needless to say nervous at the same time, Pierre was leaving a full time career to build another one of those Network Marketing Deals (after seeing so many of them fail between '69 and '99), his little voice was telling him "you've lost your mind Pierre". He knew he had to be a little crazy to do this. But as Pierre says: I entrusted the result to God (believe me when I say I did), and I was determined to make this work".

Pierre ventured out into the unknown to build his Telecommunications Empire & downline. Little did he know how good a Networker God is! The following 5 years, until Excel went under in 2004, was to represent Pierre's finest hour within the Network Marketing Industry with close to 5,500 reps and well over 15,000 customers. However, Pierre points out that his greatest achievement was not only the money he earned but rather to have contributed and played a part in creating so many leaders in his organization who were also very successful.

Marie de Lotbinière Harwood (Pierre's kindergarten friend and schoolmate) came back into Pierre's life in 2000 when he ran into her at a Calgary Excel Convention. She immediately won his heart and before long, they were living together and she also became his full time business partner. Marie and Pierre married on Marie's Birthday, April 28th, 2005.
